EMDR Intensives

In today’s world, sometimes we don’t have the time to be able to engage in traditional weekly or bi weekly sessions. I appreciate how busy life can get yet still needing to work on one’s mental health and emotional issues. That is why I am now offering EMDR Intensives!

For people who don’t have a lot of free time and want to engage in intensive EMDR therapy, this option might be perfect for you.

You'll be my only client for each full working day of your intensive. I will typically be available to work with you from 9 AM to 5 PM (or equivalent, such as 8 - 4) with an hour break for lunch, and other breaks as needed.

You'll start with a brief orientation of EMDR and then we will go over your history as well as your current situation, including your strengths, resources, problems, and what you have tried so far. Together we will setting your short-term and long-term goals.

When we both agree that you are ready to being with EMDR you might start with a  starter’s focus of a recent minor upsetting event and build from there to larger or more traumatic situations in your life.

We will also work together to develop and practice effective coping skills to manage anticipated challenges during and after the EMDR Intensives.

Finally, we will alsol plan for any follow-up treatment that may be needed. Often all that's planned is a check-in just to make sure that you're on track, with the option to do more as called for.
